Dampers sometimes need to be replaced, generally, when they
become rusted or warped, they need to be replaced. Sometimes it is
possible to repair an existing setup. But usually the damper setup
needs to be removed and is replaced by an overhead damper, this is
also superior because it closes the flue on the top of the chimney,
and leaves the lining warm so when you start a fire you will not
have to prime the flue first. Our overhead dampers are constructed
of cast Iron therefore will last you the life of your home. |

Animals
and obstructions are removed from chimneys clearing the passage
way for proper exhaust. It is very common for animals to nest in
chimneys, it is a warm dark place where they feel safe, however some
may carry diseases or bacteria’s, so they must be removed. All
removals are done humanely, and animals are generally taken to a vet
or shelter. Blockages Are common, they can come from a collapsing
flue or a creosote build up, or from nesting. |

and breaks it down to tell us the level of Carbon Monoxide. This is
measured in P.P.M’s(Parts Per Million). Although there are
other sources of Carbon Monoxide beside your heating system. We do
recommend you have a CO detector in your home. |

Leaks
at the base of the chimney can originate from several places, cracks
in the foundation, Flashing problems, holes in mortar, spaces on the
sides of the chimney, or can even be coming from condensation, which
is very common when people convert from oil to gas, or running an
appliance where the chimney is not properly sized for it. |
